Why local-only
The whole value of renting totes instead of buying boxes is that you never have to store, sell, or dispose of them — pickup is included. That only works when the drop-off and pickup are both within the same regional service area. A move from the Chicago suburbs to, say, Denver would leave the totes 1,000 miles from where they belong.
What counts as "local" here
Nice Totes covers the northeast and northwest Chicago suburbs — Cook, Lake, and McHenry County, IL — through southeast Wisconsin up to Milwaukee. A move anywhere inside that area, in any direction, works. A move that ends outside it does not.
Options for a long-distance move

The in-between case
If you're moving out of the area but staging locally first — packing up in the suburbs, storing for a few weeks, then hiring a long-haul mover — totes can cover the local packing and staging phase, as long as they're emptied and picked up before you leave.
