Nice Totes was started right here in the Chicago suburbs by people who've packed more cardboard boxes than we'd like to admit — and torn out just as many bottoms carrying them to the truck.
We know what moving day actually feels like: the last-minute box run, the tape that never sticks, the pile of flattened cardboard sitting in the garage for a month afterward. So we built the alternative we wished we'd had — sturdy, reusable totes delivered to your door and picked up when you're done.
We're a small, local team, not a national chain — which means when you call or email us, you're talking to someone who actually knows your order and your neighborhood.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Nice Totes website and your rental of totes and related services from Nice Totes, a division of HYPERSMARTY LLC ("Nice Totes," "we," "us," or "our"). By visiting our website, submitting a booking, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
1. Overview of Services
Nice Totes rents reusable, stackable plastic moving totes for residential and commercial moves. Rentals include free delivery, free pickup, and one dolly, and are booked through our online booking form for a fixed Package and Rental Term, with the option to add extra weeks or add-ons.
2. Service Area & Eligibility
We currently serve the northeast and northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, through southeast Wisconsin up to Milwaukee. We do not currently service downtown Chicago. Delivery and pickup are made to the nearest accessible outside point (driveway, garage, or front door) — not inside your home. Apartment and condo deliveries are made to the first floor only. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to book a rental.
3. Booking & Payment
Bookings are made through our online form and require a valid card on file, processed securely through Stripe. Rental fees and a refundable deposit are due at the time of booking. Nice Totes does not store your card details — all payment information is handled directly by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy. By providing payment information, you authorize us and Stripe to store a payment method for future charges related to unpaid fees, damage, or other amounts owed under this agreement.
4. Delivery & Pickup
We make reasonable efforts to deliver and pick up totes on the scheduled dates, including next-day drop-off when ordered before noon where available. Delivery and pickup times are estimates and are not guaranteed to the minute; access issues, weather, or circumstances outside our control may affect scheduling. You are responsible for ensuring a clear, safe, and accessible drop-off location on the scheduled date.
5. Rental Period, Extensions & Late Returns
Your Rental Term begins on the scheduled delivery date and ends on the scheduled pickup date. You may extend your rental for an additional fee per extra week, subject to availability. If totes are not made available for pickup on the agreed date and no extension has been arranged, additional rental fees may apply for each extra day or week the totes remain in your possession.
6. Care, Condition & Damage of Totes
Totes remain the property of Nice Totes at all times. While in your possession, you are responsible for keeping totes reasonably clean, using them only for their intended purpose, and returning them undamaged. Your deposit is fully refunded within 5 business days after totes are picked up clean and undamaged. If totes are returned damaged, excessively dirty, or are lost, stolen, or not returned, we may deduct reasonable cleaning, repair, or replacement costs from your deposit, and you may be charged for any amount exceeding the deposit.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
You may request to cancel or reschedule your booking by contacting us as soon as possible. Cancellations made more than 72 hours before your scheduled delivery date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours of your scheduled delivery date will receive a 50% refund of the package price. We will work with you in good faith to accommodate rescheduling requests, subject to availability.
8. Prohibited Uses
Totes may not be used to store or transport illegal, hazardous, flammable, perishable, or otherwise unsafe materials. You may not sublet, resell, or transfer your rental to a third party, alter or damage totes, or exceed reasonable weight or stacking limits (totes are rated to stack safely up to 5 high when properly loaded). We reserve the right to refuse or cancel service for any use that violates these Terms.
9. Website Use & Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and images — is owned by or licensed to Nice Totes and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its normal operation.
10. Third-Party Services
Our booking form is powered by Tally, and payments are processed by Stripe. When you use these services, you are also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Nice Totes is not responsible for the practices or availability of these third-party platforms.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available." While we make every effort to provide reliable, high-quality service, we do not guarantee that our website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that totes will be perfectly free of ordinary wear consistent with reusable rental equipment.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nice Totes is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services, or from delays, scheduling issues, or property damage not caused by our negligence. Our total liability for any claim relating to your rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Nice Totes harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of totes, violation of these Terms, or violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use our website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
