With Nice Totes, there's no return trip. Pickup is included with every package: at the end of your rental term, we come to the same address and collect the totes and the dolly. You don't load them into your car or drive to a depot.
How pickup works
Your pickup date is set when you book. On that day, leave the empty totes and the dolly where they're easy to reach — inside the front door, in the garage, or on a covered porch. You don't need to be home as long as we can get to them. We'll confirm the window ahead of time.
How to prep the totes
- Empty every tote completely — check the corners for stray items
- Give them a quick wipe if anything spilled; a light shake-out is usually enough
- Nest the lids or leave them attached, and stack the totes so they're ready to load
- Put the dolly with the stack
If you need more time
If unpacking is running behind or your timeline shifted, contact us before the pickup date to extend the rental. It's a quick change as long as we hear from you in advance — see the guide on extending a rental for how that works.
What about damage?
Normal moving wear — scuffs, scratches — is expected and not a problem. A cracked or badly damaged tote is covered by the deposit terms; see the guide on what happens if a tote gets damaged for the specifics.

Do I have to return the moving totes myself?
No. Pickup is included — Nice Totes collects the empty totes and the dolly from your address at the end of the rental term. There's no depot trip.
How should I leave the totes for pickup?
Emptied, lightly wiped if anything spilled, stacked with lids nested or attached, and placed somewhere easy to reach like a garage or porch, with the dolly alongside.
What if I need the totes longer than planned?
Contact us before your scheduled pickup date and we'll extend the rental. It's straightforward as long as you reach out in advance.
